FOR YOU

WHAT: Jen Zajac – stand-up comedy on the humorous side of womanhood with a christian slant
WHEN: next Thurs., May 7
TIME: 7:00 PM
WHERE: Effort Baptist Church – traditional building
COST: FREE and there will be childcare provided

Many of you are familiar with Jen by reading her humor column, “While I Was Out,” in the Fluvanna Review, and many of you met Jen at the February Girls’ Night Out and maybe didn’t even realize who she was. Straight from the back of her book – “An accomplished journalist and radio personality, Jennifer Zajac’s experience includes writing and reporting for a variety of magazine, including Parents for Parents, People, Money, and Sports Ilustrated. When she’s not covering the renewable energy sector, she writes a weekly humor column, ‘While I Was Out,’ which appears in Valley Publishing’s newspapers. Her commentaries can be heard on New Radio 1070 WINA and on National Public Radio station WVTF 88.5 FM. A former stand-up comedienne, she met her husband while performing improvistional comedy with Comedy Sportz in Washington, D.C.”

Jen is funny and her book is great! It is available at Dream Salon, the Goody Bag, and the Spinning Lizard. Books will also be available on Thursday night. Come on out and have some laughs! This event is open to any woman in the area regardless of what church you go to or don’t go to!

**** Childcare is provided FREE, and if the daylight has messed up the bedtimes at your house like it has at mine, bring the kids, let them stay up – it will probably start to get dark when you get home, and they’ll be ready to go to bed : )
